November 2, 2021 Municipal Election
Absentee Voting Information
Per order of the governor of the state of Connecticut, due to the Covid pandemic, all registered voters may vote by absentee ballot for this election. Absentee ballots will be available from the town clerk on October 1, 2021.
Beginning on October 1st when the ballots become available, the one-step process requires you to go to Townhall to the town clerk's office, request an absentee ballot application, fill it out and return it to the town clerk. The town clerk will then give you an absentee ballot, which you can vote and place in the proper envelopes provided, and then you may return it directly to the town clerk or place it in the ballot box right outside the door at Townhall.
The multi-step process requires that you request an application for an absentee ballot by calling the town clerk or that you print an absentee ballot application from the Secretary of State’s website. The application must be filled out and returned to the town clerk in person, by mail, or by dropping it in the ballot box outside of Townhall. If you return it in person, the town clerk will give you a ballot which you can complete and return to her. If you do it by mail or the ballot box, the town clerk will mail you a ballot you must then return to the town clerk in person, by mail, or by dropping it in the ballot box in front of Townhall.
Remember!!!! All voted ballots must be received by the town clerk by 8 pm on November 2, 2021.
