Woodstock friends,

What a caring community we live in! Thanks to a tremendous outpouring of support on Saturday (Nov. 4), we smashed old records and set new ones at the 4th Annual CHILDREN’s WINTER BOOT DRIVE for TEEG. Your support and the efforts of our volunteers resulted in 125 pairs of donated boots and $1,220 in cash contributions

All boots and contributions have been turned over to TEEG. As a Youth Services Bureau, TEEG assists families in northeast Connecticut. The cash donations help TEEG purchase additional boots as needed. The kids are the big winners here. It’s heartening to know that children - from toddlers to teens - in need of warm, comfortable, safe winter boots can be helped. The community’s generosity makes this happen.

We were so warmly welcomed by our new hosts, the Therecka family at Woodstock Trading Post. Their significant matching gift had a huge impact on our numbers. A special thank-you to Billy, D’Andre and Dante Therecka!

And a big thank you to Linemaster Switch for their corporate gift of 20 pairs of boots (for the second consecutive year)! We encourage more businesses to get involved and join our team of supporters.

I’d like to publicly thank these great volunteers: Kathleen Barach, Sarah Bridgman, Sean Connor, Deana Pajak, Charlene and Tim Cutler, Suzanne Woodward, Jordan Stern, Gail Dickinson, Jeff Danforth, Joe Polulech, Jessica Boose and Suzanne Kline.

In four years, our efforts have produced 346 pairs of warm, winter boots and $3,770 in cash contributions. Woodstock’s Democratic Town Committee is happy to be helping support TEEG and its important mission. Thank you,

GREG KLINE Woodstock
