Jeff Kelleher

  • Resident of Woodstock for 23 years.

  • Has worked as a teacher for 27 years.

  • Directed the East Woodstock Cornet Band for 14 years.

  • Served on the Board of Finance for the pasts 6 years.

  • Jeff grew up in Brooklyn, CT and attended Killingly HS. He graduated form Colby College in Waterville, ME with a BA in Music.

  • Attended The Berklee College of Music in Boston, and then UConn in Storrs, where he completed coursework to become certified to teach music. He also earned an MA in Music Ed. from UConn.

  • Started teaching at St. Joseph HS in Trumbull CT in 1994, and then moved back to the area in 1996 when he began teaching music at Brooklyn Middle School where he has been since 1996.

  • Member of the Connecticut Music Educator's Association, and served in various Regional and State level leadership positions in CMEA.

  • Served as President of the Brooklyn Educator's Association, and is currently still on the BEA Executive Committee, and has served as Chair of the BEA Negotiations Committee four times.

  • He and His wife Barbara, who was born and lived most of her life in Woodstock, bought a home in Woodstock in 1998, where they have been since. They have three children: Allison is a music teacher in Killingly, Emma is attending UConn, Storrs, and Keegan is starting at QVCC this fall.
