Charlene Perkins Cutler
Bio
Resident of Woodstock for 50 years; widowed with two grown sons, Tim and James.
Executive Director and CEO of The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor and the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, 1997-2017.
Developed partnerships and capacity-building programs with 60 municipalities, 3 state, and federal governments, to complete projects like the $15 million Blackstone Heritage Corridor Visitor Center on Route 146 in Worcester.
Experienced in contracting, managing, accounting, and auditing federal, state, corporate, and private funding.
Managed diverse staff, developed personnel policies, handbooks, hiring and training procedures.
Excellent skills in long-range and sustainability planning.
Successful grant writer and fundraiser.
Developed public outreach programs and publications, for example, Walktober.
Developed and managed successful volunteer programs.
Master's Degree, Framingham State University, in administration.
Previous work experience as a consultant to nonprofits and director of museums, 1987-97
Wrote a weekly column for the Norwich Bulletin for 17 years on the subjects of cultural and natural resources in the 35 towns of The Last Green Valley NHC.
Fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Liverpool FC.
